About the Role:
Diomedes Technologies is seeking a highly skilled DevOps Cloud Engineer to architect, optimize, and maintain the infrastructure supporting our high-availability, high-performance trading applications. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and a dynamic team to ensure robust and scalable cloud architectures across AWS and Alibaba Cloud platforms. You will play a key role in driving operational efficiency and supporting the scalability of our systems in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure on AWS and Alibaba Cloud, ensuring scalability, availability, and security.
- Design and streamline CI/CD pipelines to enable efficient, fast, and reliable deployments.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and monitoring to improve operational efficiency.
- Troubleshoot and resolve performance bottlenecks, outages, and critical system issues.
- Implement and maintain monitoring, logging, and alerting systems to ensure proactive issue resolution.
- Ensure cloud infrastructure adheres to security best practices and assist with managing cloud security operations.
- Lead cost optimization initiatives across cloud platforms, maximizing resource utilization while maintaining performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute multi-cloud strategies and migrations.
- Support disaster recovery planning and develop fault-tolerant architectures.
What We’re Looking For:
Technical Skills:
- 5+ years of professional experience in DevOps or Cloud Engineering, with expertise in AWS and Alibaba Cloud.
- Strong proficiency in automation and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
- Hands-on experience with containerization technologies (e.g., Docker) and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
- Solid knowledge of networking, security, and cloud architecture best practices.
- Experience with monitoring and logging tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, or the ELK Stack.
- Proficiency with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Problem-Solving and Execution:
- Analytical and proactive problem-solving mindset, capable of managing large-scale distributed systems.
- Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, agile environments while balancing multiple priorities.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- Certification in AWS (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Solutions Architect) or Alibaba Cloud certifications is a strong plus.
Bonus Skills:
- Familiarity with multi-cloud management strategies and hybrid cloud architectures.
- Experience with cloud-native technologies (e.g., AWS Lambda, Alibaba Function Compute, or ECS).
- Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash for automation tasks.
